Specialized in trauma and recovery, Afrah holds a master’s degree in Social Work (University of Denver) and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology (University of Colorado). She runs FamilyROCS, a nonprofit organization that provides education, advocacy and treatment for trauma survivors and their caregivers.

Born and raised in Israel, Afrah migrated to the USA as a teenager. She witnessed and experienced various traumas that shaped and informed not only her personal character, but also her career. Her time in the U.S. Air Force motivated her desire to help other trauma survivors and be the best mother possible to her children.

Afrah is driven by the desire to prevent trauma history from impeding people’s growth and potential. As a mother, teacher, and healer, she is dedicated to spreading a unique message of posttraumatic love, hope, healing, and freedom to every survivor. Find out more about Afrah’s personal and professional experiences with trauma in her new book, ‘Post-Traumatic Stress Revelations’, out now wherever books are sold.
